Light Up The Sky

Sometimes I forget in the busyness in life to stop, pause, and realize that he's all around us. He lights up the sky everywhere I am. And I am to do the same.

Beach

We went to the beach with MJ's family over the 4th of July. Maddie was at the beach last year over Memorial Day weekend, but she didn't remember it. When we got to the sand she got scared and didn't want to walk in it. She screamed until we picked her up and carried her. She then saw the ocean and that terrified her even more. YIKES!

2 Year Check-Up

I took Maddie to her 2 year check-up yesterday. She did great and even showed everyone how she shakes her booty! It's hilarious!

The Dr. was very impressed with her verbal skills. She is talking in full sentences now!

She ended up getting 2 shots, which she didn't like at all. I had to hold her down. Poor baby, Mommy doesn't like shots either.

Here is how she measures up.

Height: 35 1/2 inches = 90%
Weight: 31 pounds 4 ounces = 90%-95%
Head Circumference: 19 3/4 inches = 95%

She's a BIG and healthy toddler! I told her once that I couldn't carry her because she was too heavy. Now she constantly says, "I'm too heavy!" YIKES, I hope I didn't create a toddler with an eating disorder!

Madelyn Turns 2!

Madelyn,
Mommy and Daddy are so thankful to have you in their lives. You are truely a blessing from God! You have grown so much in the past 2 years and have turned into a sweet, loving and energetic toddler. We are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for you in the years to come.

Tomorrow - The Big Day!

MJ posting here. The Wivell house is quiet. We are preparing for the storm of fun tomorrow. We are looking forward to family and friends coming over to celebrate Maddie's 2nd birthday.

It's amazing to think she's already two. Can't wait to see everyone!
