Her head must have grown a ton since her last appointment, because they measured it 3 times to make sure they got the right measurement. I told her it must be because she has a big brain!
The Dr. said she looked great and healthy! She said she has even accomplished some 6 month milestones (grabbing for her feet as well as attempting to sit in a tripod stance). Yes, we have an ADVANCED baby!
She got the same shots as she did at her 2 month appointment. One orally, and three in her thighs. Thank goodness she has some extra fat storage there to dull the pain! The first one went in without even a flinch. The second one, a whimper, and the third, well, she screamed! I calmed her down by feeding her a "snack" and she fell asleep on the way home. She did pretty well the rest of the day. A little cranky as the tylenol wore off. But not too bad at all!
The Dr. was impressed to hear that she is sleeping 12 hours at night! She said that is unusual or a 4 month old. I'm not complaining :)
Maddie has also just found her voice the past couple of days. She is "talking" at a high pitch saying, "AHHHHHH" all day long. MJ says it was cute the first day or so, and now....well, rather screechy at times. She also LOVES her thumb and sucks whichever one finds her mouth, especially when she is tired. Mommy was a thumb sucker too!
