My first Mother's Day!

I missed Mother's Day by 2 days last year, so this year was my very first Mother's Day! It was a bittersweet day as I was celebrating my first year as a Mom yet missing my own Mom terribly. Over the past year I have gained a tremendous amount of respect and love for my Mom and what she did for 30+ years of her life. I only wish my own children would be able to meet and know their Grandma. They will "know" her by all the stories and pictures that we will share with them, and someday we pray that they will come to know the Lord and "meet" their Grandma in heaven. I pray that I would be half the mother that my mother was! I LOVE my new role of being a Mom and can't wait to see how the Lord will continue to bless me as a mother in the future.
